Rattlesnake Hills is a truly unique wine region that was established in 2008. It is located within both the Yakima and Columbia Valley appellations. Some of the vineyards in this region are located at over 3,000 feet in elevation. (Don't let this scare you, it is an extremely pleasant place to bike.) In this region there are over 1,500 vine acres and 17 wineries. These vineyards produce a wide variety of wines and world class grapes. They are known for growing and producing Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Syrah.
As the name implies, this route is a bit hilly. However, it is a breeze on an eBike. The vistas are spectacular and well worth the effort.
